Preparing the Next Generation with AI Skills: AI Innovision Joins the Black Rhinos Mentoring Program
AI Innovision is proud to announce our collaboration with the Black Rhinos Mentoring Program, an initiative designed to equip students in grades 6-12th with valuable skills for academic and professional success. Hosted by the Delta Mu Mu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the Black Rhinos Program is committed to addressing the academic, social, and community challenges faced by young African-American males through mentorship, guidance, and real-world learning opportunities.
In this year’s cohort, AI Innovision will join a talented group of trainers to deliver a comprehensive educational experience for the students. While our team focuses on introducing students to artificial intelligence (AI) and its creative applications, other expert trainers will teach different critical subjects that help round out the students’ overall development. Together, we aim to provide these students with a broad range of skills that prepare them for academic and professional future opportunities.
The program officially kicked off on September 14, 2024, and our team is excited to begin working with the students, helping them explore the world of AI and develop skills that will make them more competitive in the future job market.
About the Black Rhinos Mentoring Program
The Black Rhinos Mentoring Program is an initiative developed by the Delta Mu Mu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., focused on uplifting and empowering young African-American males. The program is designed to help students navigate the challenges they face in their academic and social environments by providing support through mentorship and cooperative learning circles. The students will benefit from instruction provided by a diverse group of trainers, each an expert in their respective field, covering subjects ranging from artificial intelligence to leadership, financial literacy, and more.

Course Overview: Building AI Skills for Tomorrow
As we prepare to kick off the Black Rhinos Mentoring Program, our team has been working on crafting an exciting and engaging curriculum for the students. Here’s what we have planned:
For the first two weeks, we’ll introduce students to AI and use it to create digital images using tools like DALL-E and Ideogram. The goal is to let them create their own digital artwork and even explore how they can sell their AI-generated pieces online. It’s not just about learning AI; it’s about seeing the value in what they create.
Next, we’ll move on to AI music production. We’ll show the students how to use tools like Amper Music and Suno to create their music tracks, allowing them to experiment with genres and styles. AI gives them a creative outlet, but it also teaches them to think critically and explore the technical side of music creation.
In the third phase, we’ll focus on how AI can be used as a learning aid. Whether it’s using AI for homework, research, or creating personalized study plans, we want these students to walk away knowing how AI can make their academic journey smoother and more efficient.
Finally, we’ll help the students bring everything together in a final project, which they’ll present in a virtual showcase. It will be amazing to see what they come up with, and we can’t wait to celebrate their hard work and creativity.
